Game Day!

It's the most wonderful time of the year!!!

COLLEGE FOOTBALL IS BACK!!!

College football is a bit different on this coast... you see, i'd have to get up at 6 am to watch Game Day... yea, that's not happening.. But I did set my alarm this morning so I could see Kirk and Chris and Lee make their picks...

The first games of the day start at 9am around here.. I am quite ok with football as soon as you wake up, its just a change from the east coast... there you have a few hours in the am to get things done before you are glued to the couch for the rest of the day :) Its just odd to start football games out with coffee and not a Dr. Pepper!

And this year, and for the rest of the years to come, College Football will never be the same. You see, every Saturday for the past few years, there would be phone calls to Grandpa to discuss Notre Dame and how his beloved Irish were doing. Then we would discuss how my team was doing and what was happening in the top 25. So today is a bittersweet day in my love for College Football. My most favorite time of the year, and yet, a day that I'm really missing my Grandpa.

Also missing my Saturday afternoons/evening with my Daddy. Our delicious chicken nacho's, dr. p's and so many hours of football, our eyes change into the shapes of footballs :) these days we "watch" together via facebook and texts... not as good, but it will do :) gotta figure out how to get that family to move here :)

So to all my fellow College Football lovers, Happy Opening game day!! May it be an amazing season and my MY team win the national championship :) Ok Ok, at least get a good bowl game! And may the Irish pull out a good season for gpa :) <3

Yes, yesterday was not as exciting, cherring was less vocal, excitment toned down a bit, and it didn't help that the Gators instead of playing St Mary's all girls catholic school of the less fortunate (they won one game last year, I think it was a forfeit)know, they played like a girls school, very shameful for a SEC team, and yet they still won by 22!

Anyway heres to a fun season of texts, e-mials, postings, and phone calls! Of course the Lord is welcome to come back even during the CB season!
